Let’s Hear it For the Boys!
Transgender art work at Garfield Artworks today and then a DJ?? Ahhh I’m sooo pumped!
A friend of mine has been displaying artwork throughout the tri-state area and tonight it’s going to be in Bloomfield. I have yet to see it and it’s going to be a Sappho-ish feel but within an art gallery.
I know the coolest people! I feel so lucky to know such eclectic people. Will Post WITH PICTURES! WHOO! Can’t Wait!

I Finally saw it. Not a surprise that it took me so long considering I never go to the theatre. It was actually really good, based off the fact that I didn’t fall asleep, suprisingly impressed.
I’ve been watching the news and they kept talking about Avatar saying ‘all these political undertones’ ‘blah blah blah’… so I was super pumped to see it and sure there was an underlying meaning. Jake played the part of John Smith, the girl was Pocohantas (can’t spell), and they came to America (pandora) to take what they want.
Good movie nevertheless… but if you can’t see the underlying story, then I just pitty you.

Why do I stress
The temperature. The snow. Trying to rush to work, for what?
It really wasn’t that bad out this morning, it’s not like I or anyone else hasn’t driven in snow, but I come rushing into work to find… my boss not here. AS USUSAL. I feel as though I would have really appreciated extra hours of sleep. On the BRIGHTSIDE, someone thought I was here, so it doesn’t look like I was late.
I’ve just bored myself.

Gays. Uganda. Gay. Afrika.
Finally, a good sign. American and other aid supporters are threatening to withhold funds because of violating human rights.
It’s nice to see that people aren’t just sitting back and doing nothing. An often heard statement, ‘Who cares what they do in Uganda.’ Well you should care, you value your human rights, so do they. You’re taking your ‘privelegded’ status and ignoring everything thing else? That’s selfish, join a country club, you would be a better fit there.
This is a great example of miseducation, no matter what you believe. It reminds us how fragile minds are and how controlling people can be.
Fortunately, things are looking up…

Statments like this really get under my skin. Peoples inability to pay attention to what is going on around the world, as opposed to their own little world. When E! News takes presidence over everything else. ‘Can you believe they’re dating each other?’ This reality based social media is really just a deversion to facing their own reality, but only they can change that… make things better.
It’s not how many years of college, or how many books you can read, or what your IQ is… making yourself aware instead of ignoring it is the first step to being truely educated.
So the next time I hear that type of comment I think I’ll be thinking more along the lines of: ‘Boy I hope he’s drunk.’
